LOCAL-GOVERNMENT IT

IT requests should arrive ready for triage—not as a vague email.

CREWCLEAR separates an interruption from a standard service request, captures the affected service, location, impact, and contact context, then preserves a role-controlled path to resolution.

ONE IT HANDOFF · THREE CLEAR LANES

Requesters explain. IT triages. Technicians act.

CREWCLEAR is not positioned as a replacement for a mature ITSM, service catalog, CMDB, or security-response platform. It gives local-government IT a focused, accountable handoff for support that crosses buildings, people, devices, and field visits.

Safe intake boundary

Requesters are told not to submit passwords, authentication codes, Social Security numbers, or unnecessary sensitive records. Possible security concerns are flagged for the organization’s established escalation process.

01

REQUESTER

Choose the right kind of help.

  • Incident: something is disrupted, degraded, or unavailable
  • Service request: access, equipment, software, or a standard need
  • Affected service, device, asset tag, work location, impact, and availability
  • Email verification creates the requester account and ticket together

02

IT SUPERVISOR

Triage before dispatch.

  • Review the user-visible request, impact, security indicator, and service/device context
  • Clarify one missing fact instead of assigning a guess
  • Assign the right technician and use location context when an onsite visit is needed
  • Keep requester status visible without giving requesters operational controls

Requesters cannot assign, start, pause, resume, or complete IT work.

03

IT TECHNICIAN

Resolve with an honest record.

  • Start only authorized assigned work
  • Pause with a concrete reason: waiting on requester, vendor, approval, access, or change window
  • Record the work, evidence, and resolution context
  • Complete only when authorized work is actually finished

Supervisors and employees control execution; requesters only submit, answer clarification, and follow progress.

Incident vs. service request

An incident is an interruption or degradation that needs restoration. A service request is a known, fulfillable need such as access, software, equipment, or information. That split keeps reporting, ownership, and response expectations clearer.

Pause is a real state

Waiting on a requester, vendor, approval, planned change, site access, or replacement equipment should be visible—not disguised as inactivity. Configure the specific pause reasons your IT group needs in workspace setup.

Security stays separate

The intake can flag a possible security concern, but CREWCLEAR does not claim to replace a security incident-response process. Follow the organization’s established security escalation path for active or suspected compromise.

WHAT THE REQUESTER SEES

A guided, private support request.

After email confirmation, a requester can track status and answer a focused clarification question. They do not see other departments’ requests and do not receive crew-management controls.

TRY THE IT LANE

Start with one IT request your team sees every week.

Use the dedicated requester flow to evaluate the intake. Then use the live demo to show the supervisor and employee controls around it.
